1. 我的孩子有过动症、自闭症、阅读障碍、学习能力慢学等，我该怎么找补习教师？
如果您的孩子有以上的症状，小组补习并不适合(除了症状轻微的)；一对一的补习比较适合。可以根据孩子的学习情况，量身订做，循序渐进，帮助您的孩子提高华文成绩。
My child has symptoms of hyperactivity disorder, autism, dyslexia, slow learning ability, how should I go about finding a tutor?
If your child has these symptoms, group tutoring is not suitable (except mild symptoms); one to one tutoring would be a better option. According to the child’s learning ability, we customize step- by-step teaching methodology to help your children improving in Chinese language study.
2. 我的孩子是否可以试课，以消除我的担心呢？老师不适合怎么办？
您当然可以让孩子试听1-2课，按单价计费。试课的目的，在于判断孩子是否喜欢老师，只有他/她碰上喜欢的教师，才会爱上华文课，学习才会努力。现在的孩子都比较自我，注重个人喜好，这一点很重要；另外，还要询问孩子，老师教导的内容是否能听明白，是否有帮助。如果您的孩子不喜欢这个老师及老师的教学方式，您可以要求更换教师。
Will my child be able to attend a trial class? What if the teacher is not suitable for my child?
Of course you may send your child for one or two trial classes (based on “per class” charging). The purpose of the trial class is to determine if the child likes the teacher, because only if he/she likes the teacher, he/she will be passionate about the subject and strive to excel. On top of that, we need the child to tell that if he/she can understand what’s been taught in class. If your child doesn’t like the teacher or the way he/she teaches, you may request a replacement of teacher.
3. 我的孩子最近考试成绩退步了，是什么原因呢？
有时候会听到家长反应孩子成绩退步了，可是细问一下，全班多数学生的成绩都不理想。像这样的情形，有时是因为考题有难度性，所以成绩是否退步，不仅看成绩，还要看孩子在全年级/班级的排名，才更加准确，通常在+/- 10%的范围内是正常的。有时候，试卷的难度较大，所有的孩子成绩都会下滑的。
另外，从小二升小三；小四升小五；小六升中一；中二升中三后的学习难度都会增加，成绩有所下滑也很正常，其中小六升中一的孩子，考试成绩下滑的幅度较大，中小学的难度，教学完全不同，孩子不可太松懈了。孩子需要一些时间去适应新的难度，家长要有心理准备。
My child’s exam results regressed lately, what might be the reasons?
Sometimes we hear from parents that their children’s results regressed even after tuition. When we understand more, the case is that the majority of the students in the same class are not achieving well. In such circumstances, the difficulty of the exam questions might be the main reason. Your child’s performance is not measured by a single exam result, but the overall ranking in a year and it’s normal that the performance “fluctuates” in +/- 10%.
In addition, it’s normal that students’ results regress when they go from P2 to P3; P4 to P5; P6 to S1, S2 to S3 as the difficulty o the subject increases. This is even more obvious for those going from P6 to S1, as primary and secondary level of study are totally different, students may need more time to get used of the new challenges.
4. 送孩子去补习后，父母应该注意什么？
父母在忙碌之余，对有限的亲子时间更要善加把握，可以帮助孩子做计划，制定时间表，让孩子们养成自觉独立学习的习惯，建立责任感。您孩子参加的是强化课程，但单靠每星期一次的补习是不够的。您必须督促孩子完成每堂课布置的功课，并准时交回给老师批改讲解。
What should parents pay attention at after sending their children to tuition?
Parents should guide & assist their children in doing study plan and schedule to cultivate the personalities of independent-learning and responsibility in their children. As your child is attending the enrichment course, tuition of once a week is not sufficient for them to excel, you may need to spend more time supervising your child in completing the homework assigned to them, and submit to the tutor for feedback and explanation.
5. 上门补习和小组补习相比，是否上门的一对一补习对孩子的帮助更大？老师更能专注在孩子身上？
我们并不认同这样的看法。补习能否有进步，关键在于教师能否引导孩子，教导好的方法，而并不在于补习地点和形式。
上门补习的优点是，可以根据孩子的学习情况量身定做教学内容，但一对一比较闷，不太适合有些孩子；孩子在家里，环境太熟悉，难以专心，经常有借口；补习的费用也比较高，对家长是个较大的负担。
而小组补习的好处是，当孩子进入教室，会比较容易进入学习状态，有其他的孩子一起，比较有趣，也会相互影响，他们之间的竞争会让孩子们更容易进步， 对于保持孩子们的长期学习兴趣会很有帮助；小组补习的学费较低，可以降低家长的财务负担。
对于特殊的(过动，自闭，阅读障碍，慢学者等)，和程度很差，卷子都基本上看不懂的孩子(例如：刚从国外回来，华文很差的本地孩子；来自英文家庭的，未学过华文的新移民孩子)，则只能采取一对一补习。
Comparing to group tuition, would 1-to-1 home tuition be better for my child to learn as the tutor can focus more on my child?
We do not agree with the point of view. The key element is that whether the tutor can guide your child towards a better way of study, but not depending on the venue or form of giving tuition.
The benefits of conducting home tuition is that we can customize the teaching materials according to your child’s situation and pace of learning. However, 1-to-1 tuition can sometimes be boring and may not be suitable for some kids. Also, as the child is familiar with the home environment, he/she may tend to be easily distract. Furthermore, higher cost of 1-to-1 tuition may also be a burden to some parents.
The benefits of small group tuition is that when children enter classroom, they will have better study mode and at the same time, the learning experience would be more interesting as children are learning together and competing each other. This is important to keep their interest in learning the subject in long term. On the other hand, the tuition fee for small group tuition is also lower, which will not be a burden for most families.
1-to-1 tuition is suggested for certain cases, for instance children with symptoms like hyperactive, autism, dyslexia or low ability of learning, 1-to-1 tuition would be a better choice. Also, for those who are having really bad results or can hardly understand the exam papers (e.g. some of the new immigrants of kids who came back from the West), 1-to-1 tuition would be of better help to them.
6. 如果我的孩子不可以参加本周的补习，希望补课，我该怎么办？
如果有以上情况，您可以直接联系我们的负责教师，安排在同一个星期内补课。如果过了这个星期，补课权利将取消。因为我们每个星期有不同的课程内容，只有在同一个星期内补课，才能不影响我们的教学进度。希望家长们可以理解及配合。
If my child is not able to attend one of the classes and looking for replacement class, what should I do?
In such circumstances, you may contact directly with the tutor-in-charge and arrange for a replacement class in the SAME WEEK. After the week, there’ll be no replacement class as the syllabus has moved on further. We seek for parents’ understanding and cooperation.
7. 学费该如何缴付？
孩子的学费是在每个月的第一个星期缴付，按每个月多少堂课程来计算。如果您孩子的补习费是$120/4 Lesson ,刚好那个星期有五堂课，那您就得缴付$150/5 Lesson元。如果那个月有公共假期，您的孩子只上了三堂课，学费将是$90/3 Lesson。我们可以接受现金、支票或者直接银行转账。
What is the payment term for tuition fee?
The tuition fees are payable in the first week of each month, charges based on the number of lessons in the month. For example, for classes of $120/ 4 Lessons, $150/ 5 Lessons is payable if there’s an extra class for the month. On the other hand, if the class falls on public holiday ad there’s only 3 lessons in the month, tuition fee payable would be $90/ 3 Lessons only. We accept cash, cheque and direct bank transfer payment methods.
